Every year there are those video games that people just cannot seem to wait until they come out. MMORPGs or Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games are probably the most highly anticipated games of all the game types. These are games that are played online and are played with people from all over the world. The following are the three most highly anticipated MMORPGs of 2010:
Star Wars: The Old Republic – Star Wars is not only a popular series of movies, but also has been the theme of many MMORPG games. Not only of the have had the popularity that the movies has seen but this title is expected to go beyond any of the others. Slated for release in late 2010, an actual date has not yet been posted; this game promises new worlds as well as characters with all the MMORPG gaming as would be expected from a Star Wars game.

Final Fantasy XIV – Final Fantasy role playing games have been popular since the first Nintendo gaming system was introduced to the market nearly two decades ago. It is no surprise that the creators would come out with a killer MMORPG game. The release date is yet to be given but sometime late in the year is the expected time frame. The good news is that there is a Beta version available for the pc that can be tried out before the big launch. This is going to give the players the opportunity to try the game out while informing the creators of any glitches that occur.

Guild Wars 2 – Any time a sequel is introduced, gamers worry about how well the quality and story line is going to continue on from the original. Guild Wars lovers are not going to be disappointed by the upgrades and larger world they are going to find. The best part is that this MMORPG is a free to play online game. The expected release date is between October and December 2010.

It can be very hard for gamers to have the patience to wait out the release of the latest MMORPG game. Their patience is going to be worth it when they get a look at the latest technology for these live action games. The graphics have been upgraded and the look and feel of the games are becoming more realistic with each new release. If you’re an MMO fan, chances are you’re getting excited about these most anticipated MMORPGs of 2010 as well.
